Model Y sales in China in August were up 64.30 percent from 31,112 units in the same month last year, and up 116.30 percent from 23,632 units in July.

Great Wall Motor's NEV sales in January-August stood at 148,316 units, up 71.37 percent year-on-year.

JAC sold 53,870 vehicles in August, including 13,048 exported.

GAC's vehicle sales in August were 196,761 units, with NEVs contributing 25.17 percent.

In January-August, the production of passenger NEVs in China amounted to 5,102,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 36.38 percent.

BEVs accounted for 491,000 units of retail sales in August, or 68.6 percent of all NEV retail sales.

That export figure was down 54.16 percent year-on-year and down 40.77 percent from July.

Tesla delivered 64,694 vehicles in China in August, and it exported 19,465 from the Shanghai plant.

SAIC reported all-vehicle sales of 423,319 units in August, of which 102,646 were exported and sold at overseas bases.

In the January-August period, Honda China's auto sales were 721,657 units, a decrease of 23.98 percent year-on-year.
