This post shares the global battery installations of the top EV battery makers from SNE Research.
Global electric vehicle battery usage reached 134.9 gigawatt-hours (GWh) in the January-to-February period of 2026, up 4.4% from a year earlier, according to data released Tuesday by South Korean market research firm SNE Research.
CATL ranked first with 56.9 GWh installed during the period, capturing a 42.1% market share.
BYD took second place with 18.1 GWh of battery installations, accounting for a 13.4% share.
LG Energy Solution ranked third globally with 11.8 GWh of batteries installed during the period, holding an 8.7% share.
