China’s passenger NEV retail sales in January 1-31 were 17 percent higher than in the same period in 2024, but 40 percent lower than in December.

In January 1-31, China’s passenger new energy vehicle (NEV) retail sales were 786,000 units, up 17 percent from the same period in 2024, but 40 percent lower than in December, preliminary data released today by the CPCA showed.
